Emilia Hewer was trying to breed her next dressage horse when she put her mare Wanona (Daisy) to Suzanne Lavandera’s late stallion Keystone Rhondeo.

Is Horse of the Year 2021 Cancelled?
With that in mind we have made the heart-breaking decision to cancel the 2021 show. This is not a decision we have made lightly, particularly when the majority of our expense has already been incurred, however, we feel it is the right thing to do for our riders, stakeholders, exhibitors and spectators.
How do you qualify for HOYS?
Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office. This class is open to mares and geldings, four years old and over, to be registered in, and complying with the showing requirements of, the main body of their respective stud books. Partbreds are not eligible to compete.
