Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID) has been changed to Adult Career and Continuing Education Services (ACCES), expanding the office’s reach to people with and without disabilities.
How do you qualify for access VR?
To apply or be referred for ACCES-VR services you must be:
- A person with a disability or disabilities that impact your ability to get, keep or advance in a job.
- Currently present in New York State.
- Available to participate in the vocational rehabilitation process.
- At least 14 years old.
- Able to work in the United States.
How do I apply for Vesid?
Call 1-800-222-JOBS and ask how to contact the office nearest you. Contact the office and request an application or ask to participate in a VESID Orientation Session. Eligibility will be determined, and then you and your counselor will start developing your plan.
How long does voc rehab last?
48 months
Generally, VA Voc Rehab benefits are limited to 48 months, as stated above. The program is only available for disabled veterans who qualify.
