Are helmets required at Mt Hood Meadows?
We always recommend wearing a helmet, which can be rented in our Rossignol Rental Center or purchased at the Outer Limits Sports Shop. They are warm, waterproof and provide protection.

We found Timberline to have the most striking views, but Meadows to have the better vibes and terrain. However, the area’s fluctuating weather patterns made for variable conditions and inconsistent terrain openings at all three resorts throughout our visit.

Quick Answer. The cost of renting a snowboard will almost always fall between $30-100/day. At the low end of that range, you can get basic beginner equipment. The high end is for more advanced level and higher-quality gear.
Can you skin up Mt Hood Meadows?
Hood Meadows has a Closed Boundary policy. This is a “Rule of Use” as specified in our operational agreement with the Forest Service. There is no lift-served access to terrain outside of the ski area boundary.
