What does Solaraze treat?
Solaraze is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory dermatological gel. When applied to the skin, Solaraze gel is used to treat a skin problem known as actinic or solar keratosis that is caused by long-term sun exposure. If you are allergic to diclofenac or any of the ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
What can diclofenac gel be used for?
Nonprescription (over-the-counter) diclofenac topical gel (Voltaren Arthritis Pain) is used to relieve pain from arthritis in certain joints such as those of the knees, ankles, feet, elbows, wrists, and hands. Prescription diclofenac topical solution (Pennsaid) is used to relieve osteoarthritis pain in the knees.

Diclofenac gel is only for use on the skin. Be careful not to get the medication in your eyes. Wash your hands before applying diclofenac gel . Then use your fingers to gently smooth the gel onto each affected area.

Apply the cream with a clean fingertip. If you are treating your whole face, use four pea-sized amounts of cream; one on the chin, each cheek and the forehead. For selected areas, just use one pea-sized amount of cream. Wash your hands after applying the Efudix cream.
How long does it take diclofenac gel to work?
If you’re using diclofenac gel, plasters or patches on your skin, it usually takes 1 to 2 days to work. For arthritis, you may need to use the gel for up to 7 days on the painful joint to feel the full effect.
